  A Passage to India: Dawn of the Wobble

  I remember coming across this film like a few years back, somewhere during that period where that war against the cult of Ghatak over here in LB was still fresh in my mind, and it took every desire I had of ever watching an Indian movie. So yeah, this one was a victim of those circumstances.

  The entire show is divided into two acts and one should approach the film as such: the first one builds, to the film's extents and possibilities, the troubled universe and the competitively predatory capitalist mentality that has engulfed the world, and the internal world of a misunderstood and tormented child with different capabilities and a richer vision of the world (excellent animation segments too, from the sweet opening credits to the memorable "3X9 = 3" segment). The mentality that governs from small businesses to transnational corporations is criticized to the bone: "You need to come first and be the best; anything below 95% is sacrilege", as the film says.   A beautifully crafted emotional drama on dyslexia, that’s got its heart and soul in the right place. The movie absorbs you into its world straightaway with its charming narrative, handling the sensitive topic with deft and care. The soothing songs with well written lyrics, adds to its warmth. Post Aamir Khan entry, it does get a bit off track with few redundant sequences, but the compassionate nature keeps it lovable. Though the climax is easily predictable, it moves you into gratifying happy tears. Darsheel Safary is the show stealer with his heartwarming performance. A simple, heartfelt and uplifting drama.

  I find Aamir Khan's commitment to bringing social issues to a mass audience to be very admirable. Between this and 3 Idiots there's clearly a message to de-stress education, let people learn in their own way, and encourage creativity.

  Every child is special, indeed. Everyone, especially parents and teachers, should know that. As a parent and teacher, you should be observant and learn to understand a kid's feelings. They can be hard to handle at times, but usually, they act like that because they're not understood. Listening to them will help you know their needs and better ways to guide them. They always need to be loved, feel seen, cared for, listened to, and understood.

  Telling a heart-warming story that would move even the most cynical persons, emanating an infectious charm that would put a smile on the saddest of faces and having a carrying touch that makes it all come from a genuine place, Taare Zameen Par is a delightful piece of unadulterated cinema.   easily one of the best bollywood movies ever made. love it so so so much & my throat is dry from all the crying, because of all the memories attached to it from the first time i watched it when i was ishaan's age. tisca chopra really played one of the most memorable mother roles onscreen. crazy soundtrack man. aamir really gotta make more movies with so much heart and intent.
