so i just finished tamako love story and i'm very confusd about the ending. after tamako confessesher love for mochizou, do they get together and start dating?

Did you watch the ending credits? Just pay attention to their shadows. It's not much but I guess that it's safe to say that they started dating

The ending was left intentionally open so everyone (you) can make their own end. If you want them to, then they're dating. It's simple as that!

I honestly was less pumped when I saw that she gets with Mochi though. I knew that would probably be the case but I'd rather she got with Midori. She had way more chemistry with her.

I think they did because there was a Guidebook published with a short story titled Anko Lovey Dovey Diary (there are translations online) and it showed them as a couple. But I'm not sure when the guidebook was published. So it could be the canon after story. go check it out!!

It was a whole different show for me though. No more talking birds, and no more humour. As such, I think that objectively, as a sequal to the series, the movie failed. However, I don't really care; it was good. I do have to admit, I kinda missed Dera too. Luckily there was also the 5 minute short.

Where's that? I watched the credits, but noticed nothing in particular.
That said, even without it, I can't understand how people can see this as an "open ending". They both confessed, and Mochi isn't yet going to Tokyo. What do people think will happen, they continue living across the street alley, and merely salute eachother? Come on people,..

well... i love the movies cause in tamako market,tamako and mochizou isn't doing anything romance so the tamako love story... it's just seen mochizou confess his feeling and tamako confess hers too.. thats all and we need moreeeeeeeeee romance action from tamako and mochizou 😤😤😤

Absolutely they would be just friends, at least for a long time. Two of them would live in distance places. I think the ending was all about their ending of highschool life and their new beginning. Their highschool life was fulfilled by confessing each other, just like highschool romance type. Although they won't be a couple but I consider that as a happy ending because they won't regret anything afterall.
